Ourlad's Paradigm: April 2012

I woke up late, well, 6:30AM. My alarm clock is really dysfunctional. I don't know. Maybe I just don't hear the ring tone of the alarm clock. Also, I slept late last night because I did a lot of things. We had a Christian fellowship last night. I was not able to focus well on the message during the fellowship because of migraine and severe dizziness. But praise God for His wonderful message about the importance of prayer in Evangelism.

I don't really know what is happening with my body. I always have headaches, numbness in my head and involuntary movement of my muscles. I went to the doctor yesterday and as usual, headache was caused by sinusitis. All this time, the doctor's diagnosis is sinusitis. Why can't I get rid of this? I am taking nasal decongestant to relieve the pain. But I can still feel the pain. Most of the time, I feel like I am losing my balance. Everytime I feel this, I am panicking a bit. Because I don't know what to do. I really pray to God for healing. I know that He gave this challenge because He know that I can survive this. The Lord gave this challenge to me for a reason. And I know that He will reveal that reason in my quiet times.

Going back, I woke up early to read my lecture about nucleotides and nucleic acids. I also finished writing my pre-lab in Chem 40 for the Agarose Gel Electrophoresis. After eating breakfast, I take a bath and go to the library. I returned the Biochemistry book that I borrowed and reserved it again. I am borrowing an overnight-use book. I can only borrow it after 3pm and return it the next day before 9am. I always do this because I have to read the book every night to catch up with our lectures. We only have once copy of this book in our library so the library cannot afford to lend it for a week or so. I wish UP has more budget for books and references so that I don't have to do this everyday. It is so tiring.

We finished our laboratory experiment earlier. So I was able to go back to the dorm and rest for a while. I was not able to sleep because I am afraid to wake up late. I cannot afford to miss a lecture in Biochemistry. It will be a very big loss. Because the discussion is very fast phase. Because we have to finish a 5-month course within a month. Praise God because He sustains me not just in my academics but even in my finances and health.

After the class, I went straight to the library to get the Biochemistry book that I reserved earlier. I went back to the dorm. I printed the next lectures to be discussed. After eating dinner, I started reviewing nucleic acids. Until now, I am still reviewing it. I guess I will sleep late again because of this. Maybe this is one of the reasons why I am having a frequent and severe headaches. I guess I have to manage my time well and avoid wasting my time in using the Facebook.

I will just finish reviewing the structure of the nucleic acids and then I will sleep. I have to rest because tomorrow's going to be a tiring day for sure. But before that, I am going to have my devotion/quiet time. Good night.
